Conjugate verbs in the Present – PART 2

Olá Brazilianers, how are you?

Everybody knows that when we talk about languages we talk about some rules and standard things we follow… And talking about Brazilian Portuguese this idea is also true.

This post is about conjugation: something to take seriously when learning Portuguese! And this is the post number #2 about how to conjugate regular verbs in the Presente do Indicativo in Brazilian Portuguese.

If you haven’t read the post number #1, stop now and go first there ➾ click here.

Second conjugation group

We’re going to see the second group, which termination is -ER. It’s important to say that this rule works only for regular verbs.

The example is verb VENDER.

As we already know, we need to remove the termination -ER, but, that time, we add the terminations:

EU VENDO
VOCÊ VENDE
ELE / ELA / A GENTE VENDE
NÓS VENDEMOS
VOCÊS VENDEM
ELES / ELAS VENDEM

Sentences with the verb VENDER:

Eu vendo carros, esse é meu trabalho.
Você vende quantos desses por semana?
Ela vende livros e ele vende copos.
A gente vende casas na praia.
Nós vendemos e compramos dólares.
Vocês vendem isso por quanto?
Eles vendem ingressos para o show.
